As a blogger, we need a lot of images every day.

Every single day and in every other hours when we publish something on our blog or on client’s website.

Without free stock photos; we can’t live our Internet life as its that much necessary.

Have you ever searched for some apps or sites, from where you could get images for free?

If so, then you should look out the list below, which shows you some tools or websites, that help you find good photos and images you need. 

And of course, the list doesn’t stop with only those that are mentioned here, but there can be much more than only these (which I will update time to time).

1) Stocksnap.io

Stocksnap.io is a collection of beautiful images, which includes so many categories for you to browse from such as business, nature, people, food, computer, coffee, love, design, book and much more.

The pros of this site are, it is easy to use, free and downloading images is fine along with the search option. The cons are the ads on the site always pop up.

2) Unsplash.com

A great site that lets you download photos of clear quality. You can get Wallpapers, Textures and patterns, animals, films, travels, and even current events and much more. Pros are that you get these photos for absolutely free of cost, easy to navigate.

The cons are that here the business photos are not as per expectations. Though rest others are best.

3)  Pexels

Here, you not only get to download free stock images, but also free videos. You can browse through the categories which are arts and culture, Wildlife, Healthy foods, Vintage and much more. The pictures are clearer in quality. The pros of this site are the cool add on of a photoshop plugin, and obviously, the stuff you get here is free.

The cons include the privacy statement being at risk since it takes inputs from multiple sites and users also.

4)  Pixabay

Pixabay lets users download pictures in best quality and to choose from around more than one million files and counting more. They lets use their content for free for commercial products.

Canva owns this site, and the pictures that are uploaded here are professionally reviewed personally by the editor. The only con is that the copyright infringements, though they check each image, it is not sure that copyrights are correct, sometimes it can mislead.

5) Pikwizard

Pikwizard is a pro site for downloading cool images for free. This site has hundreds of thousands of images coming from various users and contributors, but maximum images that are contributed till date are from stock media producers.

The pros are that you will find many images for free, and quick on page editing with DesignWizard tool. The only con that could be seen is the layout or the presentation of the website; it doesn’t match with the level of coolness that the content of the website has!

6) Life of pix

Life of pix has very artsy and high-quality pictures, covering different kinds of themes, where the photos are submitted by various photographers and are free to download. You can also download free videos over here.

The pros of this website are the website presentation; it is really neat and clean, where the layout is presented in a great manner, which makes the user browse easily. The only con you could find here that the search property, images are not found easily.

7) Burst

Burst is a free online photo gallery created by Shopify. The pictures here are clicked and uploaded by their photographers only and not the users.

Users here are free to download images. You can use their photos for any purpose, like for commercial, educational, or even personal purpose, you are free to edit, comment, resize, and anything with the images. You can even submit photographs if you think you’re a good photographer! It was launched for business purposes, that would help entrepreneurs. Hence you’ll find good business niches. 

8)  Gratisography

It lets users download the best quality images, which are added every week. All of the pictures are officially captured by Ryan McGuire of Bells Design.

The pros are that you can download the images without any copyright infringement, for free. There aren’t many cons of this, but still, the website has limited content, so sometimes, you might not find what you’ve been looking for.

9) Splitshire

Splitshire was created for business professionals who would want to download images without getting involved in any copyright infringement.

The pros of this are it is free and best for marketing individuals and business profiles. The cons are that it has limited content, and right now, it shows just there are 1044 free stock photos.

10) Picography

This is a cool website, where you can find many images, you can even search using hashtags. The top images to get from this are business, people, nature, technology, and many more.

Though the website is quite good and lets you download images for free, the only con is that the website has a limited number of images and you can see the number from the category list.

 11) Rawpixel

Rawpixel offers best and high-quality images that are captured from qualified photographers.

The pros are that you are free to download from a huge variety of collections, but the cons are that you can only download to a limited up to 100 downloads per user per month.

12) LibreShot

LibreShot, which was formerly known as free pix.eu, is a project by Martin Vorel. His images are really good and are made free to download. You can use these pictures for commercial purpose and personal purpose as well.

The pros are the quality of the photos, especially, they are perfect if you are printing them and perhaps, using it for a gift purpose. The con is that you can’t find photos of people! 

13) MMT Stock

MMT Stock is an online library of high-resolution photos that are provided by Jeffrey Betts. Jeffrey especially likes to share photos of computers and workspaces as well as flowers and nature.

All photos here are released under Creative Commons CC0. The pros are the free videos and a wallpaper creation tool that you can access from every image with just one click. The con is that they lack photos of people.

14) PicJumbo

PicJumbo was created by a photographer Viktor Hanacek, that provides free stock photos. This site has over more than 2000 images clicked by Hanacek that covers multiple themes for free.

The cons are that though there are photos of People, they are unrecognizable. And also, it is excessively commercial, so you might have to pay to download pictures.

15) Kaboompics

Kaboompics is the site that is running by the designer and photographer Karolina Grabowska. She has made around more than 8000 images available for free on her site.

The pros are the photoshoot collections, search engine, and many other things. The cons include the same as much of the others, i.e., lacking variety.

16) SkitterPhoto

SkitterPhoto has a great variety of categories to download from, but you would need to register and login for the same.

The photos here are submitted by the founders of the site who have a passion for clicking photos and also from user submissions. 

17) RgbStock

A site that provides more than 100000 stock images for free. This site has a custom license that lets users download images free for commercial purpose.

The pros include a variety of photos and also for a photographer that submits content here, they send them a direct message for releases and everything. The cons include being a contributor-based system; it is not best for free stuff.

18) NegativeSpace

NegativeSpace is a cool website with lots of stock images and a search engine for you to search for any image you need. The photos here are acquired from the submissions which are reviewed by the editors.

The pros are the quality of the images, and the cons include legal validity since the submission is made by many contributors, it might get trouble with legal issues.

19) Moose Stock Photos

It is an online collection from icon8. The best thing about this website is that they offer you transparent cut-outs of the models and objects, images, backgrounds, fonts, and styles, that you can layer up and create your stock photo along with a composition that meets your needs.

This is easily done on their website with their web-based, photo creator tool, which is very easy to use, and they also own all the media available on their library. You can browse through both free photos and paid photos.

 20) Freerange

One of the Best Stock Photo & Image Sites that allows you to download as many images you want to from various categories for free.

This site has so many categories but who runs this site, and from where exactly are the pictures loaded is not clear, which can be listed out in cons.
